SAN ANTONIO – A man is recovering at an area hospital after being beaten and shot late Sunday night, San Antonio police said Monday.
The incident occurred just before midnight in the 1500 block of Basse Road, not far from Blanco Road on the city's North Side.
Police said the man was jumped by two suspects dressed in black. The suspects beat the victim and then shot him in the leg. The suspects ran from the scene, police said.
The victim was taken to University Hospital in stable condition.
Police said the suspects did not take anything from the victim.
The investigation is ongoing.
