Police seek suspect in robbery of Mexican restaurant

Incident took place at Blanquita's Mexican Restaurant around 6 p.m.

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for an aggravated robbery.

The incident took place March 24 around 6 p.m. at the Blanquita's Mexican Restaurant in the 1600 block of Goliad Road.

Police said the suspect entered the restaurant posing as a customer before approaching the cashier and pointing a handgun. The suspect demanded money from the register and the cashier gave it to him, police said.

The suspect then fled in a silver, four-door car, police said.

Anyone with any knowledge of the crime is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP.

Tips can also be texted to CRIMES (274637) or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
