Man in critical condition after being shot twice on East Side

Shooting occurred just after 11:30 p.m. on St. Martin St

SAN ANTONIO – A man has been taken to an area hospital after he was shot twice on the city's East Side overnight, San Antonio police said Wednesday.

The shooting occurred just after 11:30 p.m. on St. Martin Street near Hays Street.

Police said an officer patrolling nearby heard the shots and found the victim in the middle of the street.

The victim, believed to be in his 30s was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.

Police said they are still working to determine a motive for the shooting, and that they are looking for two men who ran from the scene shortly after the shots were fired.
