2 men arrested in Uvalde smoke shop robbery

Brando Briseno, 24, Gerardo Gonzales, 33, charged with aggravated robbery

UVALDE, Texas

Police said surveillance video they obtained shows two men looking around a Uvalde smoke-shop store before one of them pulled a gun out of the back of his jeans and pointed it at the owner.

The store owner said the gunman demanded he open the cash register, and then took about $293.

He said the gunman pointed the weapon at him and fired in his direction as he was leaving, but he was not hit.

Police identified the two men involved as Brando Briseno, 24, and Gerardo Cobarrubias Gonzales, 33. Both men were apprehended and are charged with aggravated robbery.
