SAN ANTONIO – A woman was seriously injured in a car accident Friday afternoon on the city's North Side.
The accident happened about 2:30 p.m. on Vance Jackson Road near Wurzbach Road.

Police said the woman was going too fast and lost control of her vehicle when the two lanes merged into one. She hit a telephone pole and ended up on the other side of a ditch.
She was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.
