KARNES COUNTY, Texas – UPDATE (4:15 p.m.): The issue with the 911 lines in Karnes County has been resolved as of 4:15 p.m. Thursday.

911 lines are down Thursday in Karnes County, but there are options to get help, Sheriff Dwayne Villanueva said.
Villanueva said residents who have an emergency can call 830-780-3931 and select option 1.
Anyone who dials 911 will get their calls answered by the Wilson County Sheriff's Office, which will contact Karnes County, Villanueva said.
The sheriff said a main cable to Verizon was compromised and it's not known how long the outage will last.
