Family wants justice after son killed in hit-and-run almost 2 years ago

SAN ANTONIO – Cecilia Hernandez is searching for justice after her son was killed in a deadly hit-and-run crash almost two years ago.

"It's a struggle. All I do is pray and look up to my Lord for him to comfort me and give me the strength to keep going," Hernandez said.

Lee Anthony Gomez died on April 15, 2015, at the age of 36. He was driving on Highway 90 and was hit by a white Mustang.

"His car was T-boned. He got thrown to the access road on General McMullen, where he was then run over by another car. That car is still nowhere to be found. We (have) no information on that. The only car we have information on is the Mustang," said Roy Garcia, Gomez's brother.

Neither driver was arrested and police said they have no strong leads in the case.

"Is there anybody out there that knows or (has) seen anything? Anything will help to mend my broken heart and my grandkids' broken heart and the family's heart. It's hard," Hernandez said.

Gomez left behind seven children and a family that is refusing to give up searching for the people responsible.

If you have any information on this case, call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-7867.
