Gov. Abbott delivers message of economic boom of hotel industry in Texas

SAN ANTONIO – Gov. Greg Abbott on Friday delivered a message about the economic boom of the hotel industry across the state.

Abbott spoke at the annual convention of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association, which was held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

The convention included more than 6,500 hotel managers and owners, trade show exhibitors and industry partners from around the world.

Abbott said the hotel industry is a money-generating business for the state.

“Texas believes the correct approach is for us as a state to work in partnership with you, because we are all in this together. And when we all succeed together, the state of Texas continues to rank higher and higher,” Abbott said at the convention.

The Asian American Hotel Owners Association has more than 16,000 small business owners, including more than 3,000 across Texas.
