Woman accused of punching San Antonio police officer

Police called to house to investigate shooting

SAN ANTONIO – A woman has been accused of punching a police officer, following a call reporting a shooting, investigators said Friday.

The woman, whose name wasn’t released, was arrested in the 100 block of Sterling Drive, the San Antonio Police Department said.

When officers arrived at a home on the city’s East Side, they found shell casings and a Glock magazine outside, officials said.

Five people eventually came out of the house, and that’s when the woman punched the officer, investigators said.

A man was arrested and is accused of firing the weapon that police didn’t find when they first searched.
