Police said drugs were packed under the hood of the burning car.

About 17 pounds of black tar heroin and crystal meth were found under the hood. They’re believed to have caused the fire.

An officer at the scene said police believe the man driving the car jumped out when it caught fire, grabbed some drugs from the car and ran to a waiting car.

Police aren't sure how much of the stash he grabbed before he ran.
