5 Northeast Side robberies in 24 hours may be connected, officials say

SAPD: Police looking for 3 suspects

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police believe the suspects in a pair of late Saturday night robberies might also be involved in three robberies earlier in the morning.

Around 9:45 p.m., police said three men with guns stole an undisclosed amount of money from the EZ Mart in the 14800 block of Topperwein Road on the Northeast Side.

UPDATE: A total of 7 businesses hit in possible weekend robbery spree

Nearly an hour later, three men wearing black hoodies and masks robbed the Dairy Queen in the 9700 block of Perrin Beitel Road. They stole cash and three cellphones, police said.

According to police, one of the men was wearing Chicago Bulls hoodie and sweat pants. Police believe the same three men committed both robberies.

Police also believe they are the same suspects involved in three robberies throughout the Northeast that occurred less than 24 hours prior. A Papa John's Pizza, Whataburger and Taco Cabana located on or near Nacodgoches Road were hit around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.
