Police: Man dead after being stabbed more than a dozen times

Incident was reported just before 11 p.m. Monday in 100 block of East Rampart Dr

SAN ANTONIO – A man is dead and a suspect has been arrested, accused of stabbing the victim more than a dozen times during an argument overnight, San Antonio police said Tuesday.

The incident was reported just before 11 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of East Rampart Drive, located not far from McCullough Avenue on the city's North Side.

Police said the suspect stabbed the other man more than a dozen times in his chest and was found standing over the victim.

The victim was taken to an area hospital but died before making it to the hospital.

SAPD made the arrest at the scene.

At this time the name of the victim is not presently known.
