Mark Anthony Saldivar shot while standing on hood of car

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the case of a man who was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Chick-fil-A on the city's North Side.

San Antonio police said Mark Anthony Saldivar, 23, was riding Sunday afternoon in a dark-colored four-door sedan with three men and a woman when an argument ensued.

The driver pulled into the restaurant at the intersection of Loop 410 and North McCullough Avenue.

At some point, Saldivar stood up on the hood of the car and kicked the windshield, police said.

Someone in the car leaned out of the vehicle moments later and shot Saldivar, police said.

The vehicle, which has significant damage to the front windshield, drove off in the westbound lanes of the Loop 410 access road, police said.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP (7867).
