SAN ANTONIO – There's nothing like winning the latest customer service survey and Thursday United Airlines' San Antonio team was treated to a special barbecue meal.
It was cooked in the famous United barbecue trailer, which is a 777 airplane, reshaped into a barbecue pit.
The local United Airlines team scored an 85 out of 100 in overall satisfaction, surpassing the teams in Austin, Dallas and Houston.
"We have a great group of employees. Their pride is tremendous here, so their customer service they take a lot of pride in, they want to make sure they deliver, make our customers happy, get them to their destination on time, is what we really want to do and make sure they get there safely as well," said Gabe Garza, general manager of United Airlines San Antonio.
Celebrating the big win with a barbecue meal is just a friendly competition between the different United Airlines teams. Thursday's meal was served by airline executives from Austin and Dallas.
