SAN ANTONIO – Users can now view the world in 3D with the new Google Earth Voyager function.

This free program brings a virtual globe to life, complete with interactive stories.

The Hidden Worlds of the National Parks lets users explore Hawaiian volcanoes, Carlsbad Caverns and more.

Google announced plans to expand the interactive stories and continue adding more every week.

“We've joined up with some of the world's leading storytellers, scientists and nonprofits to bring the planet to life with Voyager, a showcase of interactive guided tours,” Gopal Shah, product manager of Google Earth, wrote in a blog post.
