7-year-old grazed by bullet in drive-by shooting on East Side

Shooting was reported just before 7 a.m. in 300 block of Charcliff Dr

SAN ANTONIO – A seven-year-old boy was grazed in the arm during a drive-by shooting early Monday morning, San Antonio police said.

The shooting was reported just before 7 a.m. in the 300 block of Charcliff Drive on the city's East Side.

Police said two houses and cars were hit by the gunfire. A 7-year-old boy in bed also was grazed. The exact target is currently not known, police said.

The child was taken to University Hospital for his injury.

At this time no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
