Officer suffers non-life-threatening injuries in accident on Pleasanton Road

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio police motorcycle officer was injured Friday in a school zone accident on the city's South Side.

Witnesses told KSAT 12 News reporter Katrina Webber that the officer was conducting traffic surveillance in a school zone on Pleasanton Road and Formosa when he crashed with a car he was trying to pull over for speeding.

A police spokeswoman said the officer was taken to Baptist Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car was not issued a ticket.

The crash remains under investigation.
