Man shot in back at South Side house party, police say

Shooting was reported around 1 a.m. in 100 block of Drury Lane

SAN ANTONIO – A man is in the hospital after being shot at a house party overnight, San Antonio police said Monday.

The shooting was reported around 1 a.m. in the 100 block of Drury Lane, found on the city's South Side.

Police said when they arrived they found a 21-year-old man shot in the back. The victim had been attending the party when someone inside pulled out a gun, police said. 

Police said the homeowner told them that the gun belonged to a guest that they did not know.

The person who brought the gun ran from the scene on foot, police said. 

The victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.

At this time police said they do not know if the shooting was intentional. The investigation is on-going.
