POTEET, Texas – Police have arrested an armed and dangerous sex offender who was on the run after cutting off his ankle monitor in Atascosa County.
Authorities arrested Julian Maldonado Sr. on the West side of San Antonio around 11 p.m. Saturday night.

The Texas Department of Pardon and Parole issued a warrant for his arrest after he cut off his ankle monitor and fled his home in Poteet.
His criminal history includes sex crimes involving girls under 16, compelling prostitution, Aggravated Assault, Assault on a Public Servant and Resisting Arrest.
