Postmaster unveils new stamp

SAN ANTONIO – A 21-gun salute and a solemn military dedication paid tribute to the birth of our nation Tuesday, along with honoring the 13 colonies that started it and all the Americans who have sacrificed for our country.

The 33rd annual Fourth of July patriotic ceremony took place at the San Antonio National Cemetery.

The postmaster attended, as well.

“The Postal Service has been a part of the fiber of this country in helping all people throughout the country communicate with one another, and has been with us since the inception of our country,” said Joe Perez, the governor of Granaderos y Damas de Gálvez.

The postmaster also unveiled a new patriotic stamp.
