2 killed in separate accidents on I-10 near Buc-ee's in Luling; some lanes reopened

Accidents occurred 6 hours apart


LULING, Texas – Two separate fatal accidents shut down parts of Interstate 10 near Buc-ee's in Luling, the Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed Friday afternoon.

According to DPS Lieutenant Jason Reyes, the first accident happened at 6:30 a.m. at mile marker 632. A pedestrian was fatally struck by a motorist traveling on Interstate 10.

Less than 6 hours later, another person was killed in a car accident involving two cars at mile marker 637.

Authorities reopened Interstate 10, but said only one lane is open at mile marker 637.
