Pair now face evading arrest charges

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested a couple following a chase on the city's South Side overnight, officials said Tuesday.

The incident began around 2:30 a.m. at a body shop when a car was reported stolen.

Police said they tracked the suspects down before chasing them on Highway 90 through parts of the South Side.

The couple finally stopped at Loop 410 and 16 South after the Department of Public Safety used spike strips near Loop 410 and Somerset Road.

Both the man and the woman were arrested on charges of evading arrest, police said. The man also will be charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.

The names of the suspects are not known. No one was hurt.
