Payment due for Bexar County 10-month payment plan, quarterly-payment plan

BEXAR COUNTY, Fla. – Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector Albert Uresti is reminding senior citizens, disabled citizens or disabled veterans who participated in the quarterly-payment plan or Bexar County's 10-month payment plan for 2016 that the final installment payment is due Monday.

“Citizens in certain groups have the right to an extended due date for paying their residential property taxes," Uresti said. "The state offers the four quarter payment option for citizens age 65 or older, disabled citizens and disabled veterans. However, in Bexar County, we go the extra mile and have the 10-month payment plan for these citizen groups."

Bexar County is the first out of 254 in Texas to offer the 10-month plan.

“The mission of the Bexar County Tax Assessor Collector’s Office is to help keep families in their homes," Uresti said. "The quarter payment and the 10-Month payment plans are growing in popularity each year, which helps with our mission."

Payments can be made online or by phone at 888-852-3572.
