AUSTIN – George Strait will perform at the Frank Erwin Center on June 3, celebrating the entertainment venue's 40th anniversary.
Earlier this year, Strait announced he would perform in Austin sometime next summer. On Thursday, representatives from the venue announced a performance date.

The release said Strait will perform an exclusive "STRAIT TEXAS" show -- the only Texas performance on Strait's calendar.
Tickets go on sale on Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. at TexasBoxOffice.com.
Strait has performed at the Frank Erwin Center a total of 13 times -- starting with his first show on Sept. 10, 1987 to his most recent performance on Jan. 10, 2014.
