Delivery driver spots South Side restaurant fire

Fire was reported at Rudy's Seafood in 4100 block of South Flores St.

SAN ANTONIO – Flames were spotted at a South Side restaurant overnight by a driver passing by, San Antonio firefighters said Friday.

The fire was reported just before 5 a.m. at the Rudy's Seafood in the 4100 block of South Flores Street near Pleasanton Road.

Firefighters said the delivery driver just happened to spot the fire as he passed by the restaurant.

Investigators said an open gas line was the cause of the fire.

At this time a damage estimate is not currently known. No one was hurt.
