Man hospitalized after argument leads to shooting on South Side

Daughter of victim's girlfriend fired gun, police say

SAN ANTONIO – An argument on the city’s South Side sent one man to the hospital after a shooting ensued.

Police said the victim and his girlfriend were arguing at a home in the 1200 block of West Amber Street around 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities said the couple’s fight got heated and the girlfriend’s 27-year-old daughter pulled out a gun to try and separate them.

The victim approached the daughter and she fired the gun, hitting him in the stomach, police said.

He was taken to the San Antonio Military Medical Center and is expected to survive.
