Victim identified as Ray Herrera, 47, by Medical Examiner's Office

SAN ANTONIO – A 47-year-old man was shot and killed during an argument on the city's South Side Wednesday night, San Antonio police said.

The shooting was reported at a home in the 1200 block of West Amber Street around 7 p.m. The Bexar County Medical Examiner's office has identified the victim as Ray Herrera.

Police said Herrera and his girlfriend were arguing and when the couple’s fight worsened the girlfriend’s 26-year-old daughter pulled out a gun from a safe to try and separate them.
