Woman arrested after high-speed vehicle chase with deputies

Driver ran red lights, went more than 90 mph, officials say

SAN ANTONIO – A woman has been arrested, accused of leading Bexar County deputies on a high-speed vehicle chase overnight.

The incident began around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday when deputies attempted to pull the woman over for speeding in front of South Park Mall.

Deputies said the woman sped off, running red lights and going more than 90 miles per hour before finally being boxed in at the corner of North Elemendorf Street and Kentucky Avenue.

The unidentified woman has been taken into custody and will now be charged with evading arrest, possession of a controlled substance and reckless driving.

No one was hurt.
