Rebuilding Rockport: Aerial photos show progress in road to recovery following Harvey

ROCKPORT, Texas – Aerial photos taken nearly two months after Hurricane Harvey devastated the Texas coast show the city of Rockport has made progress in rebuilding.

On Sunday, Corpus Christi aerial photographer James Peterson shared a series of aerial photos with KSAT 12 showing the progress being made.

Many lawns appear to be cleared of debris. Still, many rooftops are covered by blue tarps.

Peterson posted some of the photos to his Facebook page, Coastal Plains Aerial Photography.

"True to the Texan's grit, Rockport still held their annual Sea Fair and by the looks of things it is yet another successful event and one heck of a way to help take their minds off of the disaster for a bit and unwind with family and friends," Peterson said in the Facebook post.
