SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio festival favorite is getting ready to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
Luminaria is preparing for next month's 10th annual Contemporary Arts Festival.
The festival features a mixture of local artists and includes everything from performances, music and the visual arts.
Organizers with Luminaria said the contemporary arts have become a staple in the San Antonio culture, and have helped revitalize downtown neighborhoods and it is something they want the community to get excited about.
"Hopefully, they will be surprised and amazed and hopefully they will come across a piece of art that they weren't exposed to before and that really captures their heart," executive director Kathy Armstrong said.
She also said this year's Luminaria is a testimony of the impact the arts have on the Alamo City.
The festival starts on Nov. 10 and will have different events going on throughout Southtown and at Hemsifair Park.
