The teen victim told investigators she met Rodriguez at a barbecue at her neighbor's house earlier in the year and that she got his name and looked him up on social media days after the barbecue. She said she liked one of his photos and that Rodriguez messaged her on social media and they continued to talk on social media sites.

The teen said Rodriguez showed up at her family's house for another get together where she "caught him staring at her," which she thought was weird. The teen also told investigators he listened to her problems when they talked.

The girl told police that Rodriguez contacted her in the early hours of July 29 and asked the teen to come outside. She said they were both in his truck when he forced himself on her and sexually assaulted her.

She told police she repeatedly told him no and that she cried.

Rodriguez allegedly told her "he thought this is what she wanted," when she responded "no."

The victim said she asked him for her clothes and at first he refused to give them to her but eventually handed them over. She told police she warned him she would tell her parents if she got pregnant.

Rodriguez is charged with sexual assault of a child, a felony.

Court records indicate a bond has not yet been set.
