SAN ANTONIO – A car crashed into the building of an insurance company Friday morning on the city's Northeast Side.
Witnesses said an elderly woman was parking her car to go to a hair appointment around 11:15 a.m. in the 12500 block of Nacogdoches Road when something went wrong.
Crystal Garza, who works at the insurance company, escaped injury.
"I don't know what she was doing. I literally did not see her pull in. All I heard was the glass breaking. And she hit the desk and reversed before law enforcement came and then walked to the beauty salon. I guess she was in a rush to get her hair done," she said.
The woman's hairdresser said the driver told her that the car brakes stopped working.
Luckily no one was hurt, and no charges are expected.
