Police looking for new leads in far Northeast Side murder

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person or persons responsible for a fatal shooting.

According to police, on Oct. 21 residents in the 5000 block of Village Path heard several gunshots around 1:30 a.m. before a vehicle sped off.

Witnesses said they saw a truck striking several vehicles before coming to a stop. Whe officers arrived they found 20-year-old Eric Mendoza (seen above) unresponsive in his vehicle. He would later be pronounced dead at the scene.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
