Police seek new leads in February murder and home invasion

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person or persons responsible for a fatal shooting.

According to police, on Feb. 17 around 3:30 a.m. an unknown man with a towel covering his face kicked in the front door of home in the 200 block of Marmok Avenue.

The suspect then confronted 26-year-old Joseph Rodriguez in a hallway and shot him multiple times while his wife and children hid in their bedrooms, police said.

The shooter fled the area before Rodriguez was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
