Masked man robs East Side motel

No one injured

SAN ANTONIO – A masked robber hopped over a counter and helped himself to plenty of cash at an East Side motel.

The robbery happened just before 7 p.m. Friday at the Red Roof Inn at Interstate 10 and W.W. White Road.

An employee told police the robber came in through the front door wearing a mask and was armed with a handgun. He demanded cash from the employee before hopping over the counter and opening the register.

Police found some clothing they believe belonged to the robber on the side of the hotel.

The motel was robbed just four months ago. No one was hurt in Friday’s robbery.
