Renee Haley, who is the director of Veterans' Services in Clare County, said the Corrigans both were Harrison High School graduates and Robert was an Air Force retiree.

They leave behind two sons who are on active military duty, Haley said.

"Robert held the (high school) track record for years," Haley wrote in an email to ClickOnDetroit. "The family has requested that we come together tonight for a candle light vigil at 5:30 p.m. at the Veterans Freedom Park in Harrison, as Robert was an Air Force retiree and they have two boys currently on active duty. Please pass the word and whether or not you knew them, let's show this family that they will not be forgotten."

Haley said funeral arrangements will be announced later this week.

Devin Patrick Kelley, 26, is accused of killing 26 people, including the 14-year-old daughter of the church's pastor, and injuring more at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas.
