Police seek man in truck who terrorized 2 people with shotgun

Driver wanted in 2 separate cases

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are looking for a driver of a pickup truck who shot one man and threatened another with a shotgun in two separate incidents on the city's East Side.

Officers were called to the 1000 block of Wyoming Street and found one victim shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday, suffering from a wound to his backside. Investigators said the 55-year-old man was hit by birdshot and that his injuries are non-life-threatening.

The man told police that someone in a pickup approached him as he rode his bicycle on Wyoming near Olive streets and asked if he knew where to find drugs.

The victim said as he was leading the truck in that direction someone in the truck shot him. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The driver was gone by the time police arrived.

However, based on the description of the truck -- a red or maroon pickup with a green door -- they determined that the same man was involved in an incident about 30 minutes prior.

In that other case, a man told police he had accepted a ride from someone in a truck matching the description above and that that driver had pulled out a shotgun and pointed it at him.

The man was able to jump out of that moving vehicle but suffered road rash.

Police said he did not cooperate with officers beyond that and that they are still looking for information on the driver.
