SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio City Council on Thursday approved an incentive package to bring a new financial services client delivery center to the city.
Ernst and Young said its new center will create up to 600 full-time jobs in San Antonio, including in cyber security and development.

Some of the jobs will be high-paying, with about 175 positions expected to come with salaries of $50,000 or more. Another 80 jobs are expected to bring salaries of $70,000 or higher.
“The project presents an opportunity to expand the presence of an innovative, rapidly growing and globally recognized company right here in San Antonio with well-paying jobs,” Mayor Ron Nirenberg said.
The approved incentive package includes a six-year, 100 percent tax abatement on new, real and personal property investment.
Ernst and Young already employs more than 200 San Antonians at its downtown office.
