Police look for man after he steals generator batteries, copper wiring

Suspect drove away in a white Dodge pickup truck

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for a unique theft.

According to police, on Friday, Oct. 6 a man drove up to an emergency electrical generator and got out of his truck. He then boldly cut the heavy wiring to the generator batteries before stealing both the batteries and its copper wiring.

The suspect then drove away in the white Dodge pickup truck that was pulling a trailer.

Anyone with any knowledge of the crime is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
