DOUGLAS, Georgia – A Georgia restaurant employee is being recognized for her kindness after she helped a customer who was struggling to cut his pancakes.

Dallas Smith Jr., a Huddle House customer, recorded the employee as she cut the injured man's pancakes for him.

According to WSB-TV, the employee saw the man struggling to cut his food and just as the man sitting across from him moved his plate over to help, the employee volunteered to cut the pancakes.

Video of the kind gesture has been shared more than 3,500 times on Facebook.

“It was kind of a warm feeling in there anyway because everyone knows everybody,” Smith told WSB-TV. “It threw me so far off guard when she did it. For me, it was just a blessing to see.”

The Atlanta TV station reported the man who was struggling to cut his food is a military veteran.

Fellow trying to eat his pancakes with one hand. Cook seen it, went over and cut them up for him. Acts of kindness. Huddle house Douglas Ga. Edit: After the video went viral I learned that the older man had Been shot in his hand and the younger gentlemen had been staying with him and helping care for him. He made the move to help him when Ms Wanda (the cook) stepped in and took over so they both could enjoy their meal. #twoactsofkindness Find this video and others like it by visiting https://www.jukinmedia.com/licensing/view/977871 For licensing / permission to use, please email licensing(at)jukinmedia(dot)com.
