Community invited to free fitness event and toy drive

Strengthen your body and your community

SAN ANTONIO – Organizers say it’s a way to strengthen your body while you strengthen the community. “Merry Fitness in the Park” is a community workout along with a toy drive benefiting the Children’s Shelter of San Antonio.

The event takes place at Woodlawn Lake Park on Saturday, Dec. 16. from 9 to 10 a.m.

The workout will be led by trainers from Body Architecture Personal Training and Fitness. While the event is free, people are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate.

Snacks will be provided courtesy of H-E-B and Zedric’s: Fit with Flavor, and there will also be a raffle for prizes including running shoes from Fleet Feet Sports, a solar-powered hydration backpack and more.

“Merry Fitness in the Park” is a KSAT Community Holiday Helper event. Mike Osterhage and Fiona Gorostiza from "SA Live" will be there to meet and greet fans.
