$530K in meth, heroin seized at Laredo international bridges

Seizures made at World Trade Bridge, Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge

LAREDO, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized $535,115 in drugs in two incidents Monday.

One of the seizures happened at the World Trade Bridge, where CBP officers found 13 pounds of crystal methamphetamine inside a 2002 Freightliner tractor-trailer, a news release said.

The other incident happened at the Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge, where 10 pounds of heroin were discovered in a 2008 Ford Ranger, officials said.

The drivers of the vehicles were arrested.
