Traffic stop leads deputies to more than $100,000 in stolen property

Multiple storage units in Kendall County burglarized

BOERNE, Texas – A stop by Kendall County sheriff's deputies in early December ended in the discovery of more than $100,000 of stolen property being recovered.

So far, two people have been arrested but investigators are still looking for one woman they say is connected to the burglaries.

Boerne: Boomtown or ‘Gone Forever'

The Sheriff’s Office said they believe the trio hit two mini-storage facilities totaling over 40 units in Kendall County, burglarized two mini-storage units in Boerne, burglarized two vehicles in Boerne as well as homes in both Kendall and Bexar counties.

On Dec. 10, deputies were patrolling the area of Shooting Club Road and saw a vehicle driving slowly through the area that matched the description of a vehicle that was possibly involved in storage unit burglaries from the night before.

Deputies arrested Bobby Luckett for possession of marijuana and noticed what appeared to be stolen property.

After getting a search warrant for a home in the 1200 block of FM 473 deputies found more than $100,000 in stolen property.

Luckett was charged with burglary of a building and possession of marijuana.

Deputies also arrested Antoinette Bibb and charged her with theft between $30,000 and $150,000 from the elderly.

Authorities are still looking for Brittani Avera, who has a warrant out for her arrest for burglary of a building.

Investigators said they have located the owners of most of the stolen property, but still have “a lot” that needs to be identified.
