Couple allegedly uses drone for drug delivery service

A California couple were arrested for allegedly dealing drugs through drone delivery, reports UPI.

Benjamin Paul Baldassarre, 39, and Ashley Lauren Carroll, 31 were reportedly using a drone to deliver narcotics to nearby recipients. The Riverside Police Department said upon investigation, officers saw the drone leave the backyard of the home, fly to a nearby parking lot and drop a small package of narcotics. Customers were apparently there waiting for the drop.

When police later searched the home, they found methamphetamine, LSD and "unpackaged powders believed to contain fentanyl."

The couple is facing three counts of possession of controlled substances for sale, child endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Carrol's 9-year-old girl was also at the residence.
