SAN ANTONIO – A West Side man has died from gunshot wounds he suffered after answering a knock on his front door.
Witnesses told San Antonio police that the victim, Julius Peralta, 26, had just returned home from buying food for his family around 12:30 a.m. Monday when he heard a knock on the door.
Police said Peralta opened the door and found three men with black masks standing outside his apartment in the 2600 block of Westward Drive.
An argument ensued and there was an exchange of gunfire, police said. Peralta was shot twice in his chest.
Police are still looking for the gunmen who left the scene in a black sedan.
