Man charged with murder following deadly argument over bills

Juan Antonio Ramos charged in murder of Joshua Lora

SAN ANTONIO – Police have arrested a 22-year-old man in a fatal shooting that happened early Sunday morning.

Juan Antonio Ramos is charged in the murder of 26-year-old Joshua Lora.

Police said several family members were arguing over bills at the Spanish Oaks apartments in the 3200 block of Cripple Creek Street when someone pulled out a gun.

The family told investigators that the gun fell to the floor as they tried to wrestle it away from the individual holding it.

During the struggle over the weapon, police said Lora was shot multiple times.

Lora was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a few hours later, police said.

Police said several family members were taken into custody, but Ramos is the only one facing charges as of Sunday night.
