SAN MARCOS, Texas – Update 4/20/18

San Marcos police say a man accused of assaulting another man outside a downtown bar has turned himself in.

Bryan Albert Garcia, 34, turned himself in to the Hays County Jail Thursday morning and was charged with assault-bodily injury, serious bodily injury.

Police say the victim is still recovering from his injuries at home.

The San Marcos Police Department is asking the public for help identifying a man who punched another man in the face outside a bar in San Marcos.

Video shows a man knocking another man out cold.

"The victim’s head struck the ground, causing unconsciousness and severe head trauma,” according to an SMPD Facebook post.

Video challenges constable's claim that deputy came at her during meeting

The incident occurred March 10 at approximately 12:54 a.m. at Hive Bar, a local watering hole located in the Square.
