SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have a man in custody in connection with a shooting that wounded two people, including an innocent bystander, outside a Northeast Side bar.

The shots rang out around 2 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of the Epic Bar, located in the 1300 block of Austin Highway.

Police said two men had been involved in a dispute when one of them pulled out a gun and fired.

They said a woman, who is in her 20s and was not the intended target, was hit in her upper body. She suffered a life-threatening wound.

At some point later, a man showed up at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to his chest.

Police believe he was the second victim from that shooting, and that he was the intended target.

They say the suspected shooter tried to run from the scene, but a bar bouncer held onto him until officers arrived.

That man, who is in his 30s, was taken into custody on unknown charges.
