Police blew up several materials confiscated during arrest

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department's bomb squad conducted a training exercise Friday.

The exercise started at 11 a.m. at the San Antonio Training Academy, located off Southeast Loop 410 near Pleasanton Road.

The Police Department's Bomb Squad blew up several bomb-making materials that were seized when a man was arrested on the Northwest Side.

The suspect was later identified as James Cable. He is facing a family violence charge, but authorities have not ruled out more charges.


The San Antonio Bomb Squad is a six-person team and is the only such group in the Alamo City.
