Man arrested after shooting at people accused of stealing his car

Four people involved in possible theft of vehicle released, police say

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police arrested one man in connection to a shooting at a North Side gas station. Four other people were released after being tested for gunshot residue.

Officers received a call about the shooting shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday from the 600 block of Bitters Road.

When they arrived, they realized there were two other locations and a stolen car involved.

Police say the owner of the car, Arturo Flores, had spotted his vehicle, which had been stolen earlier in the week, at the Valero gas station. While trying to retrieve the vehicle, police say Flores fired gunshots at four people, but no one was wounded.

Officers later located the stolen car in a bank parking lot on the other side of the highway, near the Highway 281 access road and Heimer Road.

Flores, 24, is charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
